March Break

He was like a heat wave in March. Came in unexpectedly yet embraced immediately.
But just like the weather, it changed on a dime. April came, things turned cold.
Oh, how I enjoyed it when the warmth was here. I basked in it.
All consuming, I was hooked. Too good to be true, therefore, doomed not to last.
Many things in life are fleeting and must be enjoyed for what they are.
A puzzling, inexplicable occurrence that brevity conquered in the end.
